In an effort to help close the academic achievement gap that exists between children who come from affluent homes and those who are less fortunate, Children's 1st partners with Non-Governmental Organizations that offer programs for students who live in Nigeria, West Africa.

 

Programs include, but are not limited to, tuition assistance, free education, tutoring, school materials, books, pencils, paper, laptop computers, updated technological devices, food, shelter, access to clean water, health and fitness training, forums, educational seminars on HIV, AIDS, Malaria, and Tuberculosis.

Since its inception, Children 1st CDS, through its Youth Empowerment in Africa Project (YEAP) has impacted over 1000 children through our scholarships, educational seminars, school supplies and book drives. The YEAAP project was also nominated in 3rd place for the 2015 Selfless4Africa’s Impact Award.

Children's 1st only uses funds donated to support our Youth Empowerment in Africa Project. Prospective partnering organizations based in Nigeria are required to complete our Children's 1st Eligibility Application form.
