Youth Empowerment in Atlanta/Africa Project
In an effort to help close the academic achievement gap that exists between the children who come from affluent homes and those who are less fortunate, Children 1st CDS offers programs for youth in seven counties in the MetroAtlanta area of the State of Georgia (Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Fayette and Henry), and in areas of Nigeria, Africa.
Programs include, but are not limited to tuition assistance, free education, tutoring, school materials, books, pencils, paper, laptop computers, updated technological devices, food, shelter, access to clean water, health and fitness training, forums, educational seminars on HIV, AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis.
Since its inception, Children 1st CDS, through its Youth Empowerment in Atlanta/Africa Project (YEAAP) has impacted over 1000 children through our scholarships, educational seminars, school supplies and book drives. The YEAAP project was also nominated in 3rd place for the 2015 Selfless4Africa’s Impact Award.
